Despite the legacy /delete path, this command does not delete Company memory. It queues removal/demotion of promoted Company workspace records; a successful response confirms job admission, not completion. With mode=ids, the response includes matched/queued counts; descriptor selections are resolved asynchronously and those counts may be null.
